Miami Beach Convention Center

During my externship with OMA NY, I helped to execute this presentation model for the Miami Beach Convention Center competition. The design consisted on a 52 acre mixed used development that redesigned the existing convention center with an addition of a hotel, housing and a museum. The design would help to revitalize the area of Miami Beach to encourage greater use by the general public. The model was executed by creating rubber molds, the would then be used to cast the resin buildings shown here.
